Part-Time help needed adding products to webstore (Lynchburg Va)
Will need skills related to web development such as resizing and cropping images, uploading images to a webserver, working within a webstore backend control panel, copying/pasting product descriptions, and setting prices from a pricer catalog. Am looking for students looking for extra income, can work 2pm till 5pm Monday through Friday, or any amount of hours in-between. Project may last a few months until approximately 500 products have been added.

Description: Web developer with emphasis on PHP and MySQL
The Opportunity:
We're looking for an experienced, UNIX-platform web application developer to join our development team. This is an opportunity to join a growth-stage company where you will be instrumental in architecting and developing software for advanced, high-speed network security applications.
You will be expected to work with us to design, code, test and deploy sound engineering solutions to complex problems. Your emphasis will be writing front-end code in PHP to interface with various databases and other applications, but you should speak some other languages too.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with coding within a complete system and not just inside an IDE. However, considerable experience with all facets of web development (including databases and message-passing schemes) is critical.
Requirements:
- Substantial knowledge of the PHP programming language
- Experience with various Web 2.0 technologies including Javascript and CSS
- Familiarity with SQL
- Considerable experience with MySQL and other databases
- Working well within a diverse, highly-technical team
- Comfort moving around a UNIX environment and using system tools like make, strace, gdb, awk, sed, etc
- Familiarity with various techniques for logging, storing and queuing data on a network, disk or memory
system
- Familiarity with data persistence solutions and open source database platforms
- US Citizenship
Bonus Points:
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
- Involvement in any Free or Open Source software projects
- Experience with XML
- Experience with JQuery
- Experience with PERL
- Experience with common Internet servers or services like bind, apache, djbdns, unbound, etc.
- History of participation in organized sports (high school or college teams)
