QA Engineer/Test Analyst (London, ON)
Our client a provider of in-store digital media & marketing solutions, has a need for a QA Engineer/Test Analyst. The Test Analyst/Engineer is expected to be dedicated and self-motivated and to have general expertise in analysis and testing of products built on an enterprise-level or large-scale architectures (DB, middleware, UI, infrastructure), with a focus on quality test analysis, test planning and test execution.
The Test Analyst/Engineer will work with different groups and business units, in particular with teams from Technology, Operations, and Customer-Services and occasionally with teams from Marketing, Sales, Creative and Account Services.
Active participation in analyzing business and technical requirements and use-cases as well as mapping them to test cases.
Identify quality risks / issues and escalate appropriately to the QA Manager.
Develop accurate and timely estimates for QA test plans and schedules.
Designing test cases, developing and executing test automation.
Active participation in preparation of the test environment and the execution of testing tasks as the need arises.
Execute test plans and document the results.?
Identifying and driving defects (bugs) resolution to closure.
Adherence to the Quality standards and policies for Technology, Product, and Services development.
Monitor and follow through the release management in QM.
Minimum bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent training and experience
Solid knowledge through formal education or training with product and process quality best practices and standards
3+ years experience in testing enterprise-level or large-scale web based applications in a formal QA work environment.
2+ years experience in driving QA process for software testing independently in a software development team with minimal supervision.
3+ years experience in developing test plans and test cases.
3 years experience with stress and load testing.
2+ years experience of Web Automation experience using QuickTest Professional or others
2+ years test experience in Linux/Unix environment, able to t test environment preparation in Linux environment independently
2+ years experience with software configuration management tools.
2+ years experience in developing enterprise-level or large-scale multi-tier applications.
2+ years experience with Web Services technologies.
2+ years experience in testing SaaS Platforms and Cloud Computing software

This is initially a 10 month contract.
The User Experience Developer will join the Services Consumption Team and will help shape the design of our solutions, services and implementations within a SaaS environment.
As an essential contributor to the UX Design you are knowledgeable in user-centered design methods, visual/graphical design and user interface prototyping. From these designs you will develop consumer facing web applications, requiring you to be proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, XML and AJAX, and have familiarity with REST/JSON API's.
Experience:
Degree in web development, software development or equivalent experience.
Training in Human Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Visual Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or equivalent interaction design experience would be beneficial
